Andrew Harvey
Andrew Harvey is an internationally known translator, scholar of mysticism, and spiritual teacher. He has written and edited more than 30 books, including best-sellers such as The Hope, and The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying. He has won the Christmas Humphries Prize (for A Journey in Ladakh) and the Nautilus Prize twice. Andrew has taught at Oxford University, Cornell University, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, The California Institute of Integral Studies, and the University of Creation Spirituality as well as at various spiritual centers throughout the United States. He is the founder and director of the Chicago-based Institute of Sacred Activism. We spoke about his multifaceted career as an interpreter and teacher of the world’s mystical traditions and about his passion for combining mystical experience and social activism.
