Emma Seppala, Ph.D., is Science Director of Stanford University’s Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education. The author of The Happiness Track, she is a health psychologist and leading expert on happiness, compassion, resilience and mind-body practices for trauma and well-being. She contributes to Psychology Today, Harvard Business Review, and MindBodyGreen. She is also a certified yoga, pilates, meditation and breath work instructor. Originally from Paris, she received her BA from Yale, her Master’s from Columbia and her PhD from Stanford.
