Rachel Zinman
Rachel Zinman has been a global yoga teacher and trainer of teachers for over 30 years. In 2008, she was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Following the shocking diagnosis, she spent nearly 6 years searching for answers through a variety of healing modalities. She found that Yoga wasn’t a cure-all, but credits it with saving her: studying Vedanta and classical Yoga in India taught her that the path to wellness wasn’t just a physical process but also a journey of the spirit. She now specializes in the use of Yoga and Ayurveda for diabetics. Her book on the subject, Yoga for Diabetes, How to Manage your Health with Yoga and Ayurveda, will be published in October, 2017 by Monkfish Publishing. We spoke about her own path and her work with diabetes. Learn more about Rachel Zinman here.
