Igor Kufayev
Igor Kufayev (spiritual name, Vamadeva) is an Advaita Tantra teacher and founder of the Flowing Wakefulness Fellowship. In his words, he serves as “a conduit of transmission for awakening towards the new era of heart-centered consciousness” and “inspires all seekers of truth to recognize the fullest potential present in human birth.” Born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, he was an art prodigy in his youth (his work is in prominent collections around the world) and also experienced episodes of kundalini awakening. His spiritual influences ranged from German Existentialists, Pre-Socratics, Sufi Mystics, the Integral Yoga of Sri Aurobindo, the Advaita of Kashmir Shaivism, and Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. At 36, Igor underwent a radical transformation of consciousness that blossomed into spontaneous unfoldment of Grace. After five years of intense practice, he began sharing his insights. Elusive to categorization, he maintains that tradition is not a set of esoteric teachings and techniques but a vibrant field of energy enlivened in the hearts of those who go through the transformative process firsthand. He refers to his teaching as the “Path of the Heart.” We spoke about various aspects of his work as a spiritual teacher. Learn more about Igor Kufayev here.
