Micah Mortali
Micah Mortali holds a master’s degree from Goddard College and is the author of the book Rewilding: Meditations, Practices and Skills for Awakening in Nature, published by Sounds True. Micah’s life’s work is about reconnecting modern people with the restorative powers of the living earth through mindfulness, yoga and rewilding practices. His writing and teaching is inspired by the Haudenosaunee concept of the seventh generation; he believes we are collectively called to consider the ramifications of our actions today to those living in 2229. A 500-hour Kripalu Yoga Teacher and a Level 2 Mindful Outdoor Guide, he is the founder of the Kripalu School of Mindful Outdoor Leadership and the Director of the Kripalu Schools. He leads trainings, retreats and seminars on rewilding and mindful outdoor leadership at Kripalu and across New England. We spoke about his new book, being in nature as a spiritual practice, and exercises that focus on being present and attentive in the wild.
